In 2015, the Minnesota Jump$tart Coalition focused on strengthening infrastructure, hosting an annual event, and supporting a teacher workshop using the Jump$tart Teacher Training Alliance curriculum.  The Board began the year with a strategic planning session that led to developing an annual operating plan, updating bylaws, and ensuring our operations as a volunteer-led organization are effective, efficient, and timely. Sub-groups worked on exploring website alternatives, discussing a social media strategy, redefining MN Jump$tart membership and planning our 8th annual event during National Financial Literacy Month (April) for 62 individuals.  The Board granted two scholarships to Minnesota teachers to attend the National Jump$tart’s Educator Conference, and provided a grant to the Minnesota Council on Economic Education to implement the Jump$tart Teacher Training Alliance curriculum for 31 teachers, 15 of whom were from rural Minnesota.
